Manatee County plans to perform canal clean-up dredging in portions of the CSOA canals during 2026. The work will focus on outfall areas and will generally include dredging about 10 feet on each side of the outfalls and 10–15 feet into the canal to remove sediment and improve water flow. 
 
Dredging is typically done by truckload (about 15–18 cubic yards of material). Standard pricing is around $9,000 per truckload, but homeowners may be able to take advantage of a discounted group rate estimated at approximately $3,500–$4,000 per truckload, potentially lower depending on the number of projects coordinated while the contractor is already working in the area.
